Courtney Hey, I’m Courtney Amster and I’m a senior Chemistry major specializing in Forensic Science. On campus I play basketball for the women’s club basketball team and I am a member of the co-ed community service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega. This is my second year as a SAVE peer educator and I am excited to see what this year has in store. We accomplished so much during my first year and I know this one will be even better. I hope that we will be able to spread more awareness about the topics that everyone on this team is so passionate about.  Kat Bednarsky Hey there, my name is Kat Bednarsky and I am going to be a sophomore Sociology major with minors in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies. This is my first year as a SAVE Peer Educator and I can’t wait to become a part of this wonderful organization! I am really looking forward to spreading awareness across campus and providing resources for my friends, teammates, and peers. Besides being a Peer Educator, I am on the Varsity Women’s Soccer team. I enjoy spending time outside, attending any/all sporting events, and above all else, eating. I can’t wait to see what this year brings!

 MB Hey everyone! My name is Mary Burns! I am a senior Sociology and Women and Gender Studies double major. I am currently the secretary of my sorority, Sigma Sigma Sigma, and a member of Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society. I am also a campus representative for Consent Is So Frat. In my free time I enjoy watching Parks and Rec, annoying my cat, and watching hockey (Go Flyers!). This is my third and final year as a SAVE Peer Educator and I can easily say that this has been the most rewarding and important experience of my college career, not only because it has helped me realize my true passion for violence prevention, but also because it gave me the opportunity to work with the most caring, driven, and unique group of people I have ever met. I love talking and am a big fan of waving, so say hi if you see me around campus!
 SAVE bio Hey, what’s cookin’? My name is Jake Cohen, and I am a junior who just switched majors to English Secondary Education. This is my first year as a SAVE Peer educator! I am excited to work as a team to discuss issues and spread awareness about topics that are generally misunderstood. When I am not educating my peers you can find me grove chillin, Eick chillin, in the Rec center playing pick-up basketball or on the tennis courts where I participate in club tennis. I am also a brother of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. I can’t wait to have another great year!
 Melissa-225x300 Hello! My name is Melissa Garfinkel, and I am a junior psychology major with minors in African American studies and Women’s and Gender studies. I work at the library and the career center on campus, as well as volunteer with Siked for Eick and the Sustainability Ambassadors. Outside of campus, I enjoy practicing archery, drawing, writing, pretending I am a special effects makeup artist, and traveling just about anywhere. Most of all, I love just hanging out with family and friends. Going into my second year as a SAVE PE, I could not be more proud of the amazing people I work with and excited for another worthwhile year!
 Gibby Hey, I’m Morgan Gibbons and this is my second year as a SAVE PE! I am and English and Secondary Education Major, as well as a junior at TCNJ. Along with being a PE, I also hold a position on Sigma Kappa’s executive board. I love elephants, reading, and pretending I am funnier than I actually am. If I am not watching Parks and Rec, you can most likely find me in the library or Alumni Grove. I am very excited for the work I will be doing through SAVE this upcoming year!

Lauren Hi guys! My name’s Lauren Heddy and I’m a senior year nursing major here at TCNJ! I am a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha, a member of the Student Nurses Association, and a member of Order of Omega National Greek Honor Society on campus. I love meeting new people, listening to live music, hiking, and trying new things. I originally spent a semester volunteering for the SAVE program, which has further inspired me to become a SAVE PE! I’m looking forward to working with my amazing team of PEs in an effort to make a real difference on this campus in terms of domestic violence and sexual assault awareness. Robby Hey, my name is Robby Heindel and I am a senior at TCNJ. I’m an accounting major with a psychology minor. I spend my time on campus advocating for and promoting SAVE, as well as taking part in as many intramural sports as possible. My hobbies include watching football and cheering for my team, the New York Giants! This is my third (and last) year as a peer educator and I am looking forward to continue positively impacting the campus community with this amazing, dedicated team of peer educators.
 Trystan Hey everyone! My name is Trystan Irmiere and I am a sophomore Open Options Arts and Communications major! My hobbies include spending time with pets, running, reading, and binge watching tv shows! I am very excited to be a part of an organization that aims to make the campus safe for all students and hope to empower fellow students to become willing to stand up against power based violence. I love anything to do with art and music, books, museums, interior design, fashion, and food! Caroline Moore Hey, my name is Caroline Moore! I am a junior Health and Exercise Science major. This is my first year as a SAVE Peer Educator, and I could not be more excited to be a part of the movement to better our campus community, and with such an amazing group of people.  Rachel Hi! My name is Rachel Murphy. I am a Sophomore Political Science Major with a Minor in Philosophy, Politics & Law. I am also a sister of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. I love hanging out with my friends and watching Netflix. I am ecstatic to be a new SAVE Peer Educator! In the future, I plan on going to law school and becoming an attorney specializing in disability law, so I can help those with special needs. Lizzie  I am Elisabeth (Lizzie) O’Connor, and I am a junior at TCNJ. I am currently working on a major in Psychology and a minor in Human Resources Management. This year is my second as a SAVE Peer Educator, and I am so excited to be a member of such an amazing group of people! I am passionate about preventing violence on our campus and can’t wait to make a difference in the community. As well as being a member of SAVE, I am also a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha and a CEI Intern for the Office of Human Resources. Michelle Hello! My name is Michelle Onofrio, and I am a junior at TCNJ. This is my second year as a SAVE Peer Educator and I am so excited to be able to work together with my fellow PEs and the TCNJ community to raise awareness and promote prevention of power based personal violence on our campus. I am also involved in Club Field Hockey, the Honors Program, and I will be studying abroad in Australia fall of this year. I am looking forward to another year of working together towards a safer and better world.

AJ Hello beautiful people! My name is AJ Sagar, I am a sophomore with a Major in International Studies student and a Minor in Economics. This is my first year as a SAVE peer educator and I cannot wait to be a part of such a talented team! I am a sister of Delta Zeta and a yoga enthusiast; I love meeting new people, trying new things and I go where life takes me. Jennie Hiya! My name is Jennie Sekanics and I am a senior double major in English Literature and Women Gender Studies and minoring in Italian. I currently serve as the Co-Executive Chair of the wonderful feminist organization and academic program, Women In Learning Leadership and am the President of TCNJ’s Women’s Center. I currently blog for The Signal’s blog, “The Elephant in the Room,” which explicitly concentrates on gender. I am also CA in Decker Hall and a member of NRHH. My experience as a CA led me to become involved with mental health initiatives, specifically suicide prevention. I currently serve as a student member of the Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention Taskforce, which hopes to create a more positive and enlightened campus. I have planned many events to raise awareness of gender and sexuality issues on and off campus as well as spoken and performed slam poetry at campus SlutWalks. After a long day of fighting the good fight, I love watching my sisters play soccer, writing poetry and tweeting about social injustice (you should totally follow me on Twitter). I am SO excited for my first year as a PE!
Erin Shannon Hello! My name is Erin Shannon and I am a senior Women and Gender Studies and English Literature double major. I serve as the Co-Executive Chair of Women In Learning Leadership and serve on the Student Task Force Against Sexual Violence and Gender Discrimination as well as the Community Standards Board and ACSB. I am a sister of Tri Sigma Sorority and am a member of Triota, Golden Key, Sigma Tau Delta, Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Societies. As a WGS major, I learn about power-based personal violence in the classroom, but SAVE offers me the opportunity to put that knowledge into practice. I can’t wait to teach my peers about how they can prevent violence from happening on TCNJ’s campus; I know that our community is one that cares about everyone in it, and that we can make our campus a safe place for all.
